《九针十二原第一》
黄帝问于岐伯曰:余子万民,养百姓,而收其租税;余哀其不给而属有疾病。余欲勿使被毒药,无用砭石,欲以微针通其经脉,调其血气,荣其逆顺出入之会。令可传于后世,必明为之法,令终而不灭,久而不绝,易用难忘,为之经纪,异其章,别其表里,为之终始。令各有形,先立针经。愿闻其情。
翻译:黄帝问到歧伯说:我像对子女一样对待千万的人民,由百家姓供养,而且收取他们的田赋和各种稅款;我心痛于他们的不富裕而连续有疾病。我想不要他们吃有毒的药,不用砭石,想用小针打通他们的经脉,调和他们的气血,使他们的经脉穴位得到荣养。让这个方法可以传承给后代,一定要明确制定它的方法,让它能够总是一直不消失,时间久也不会断绝,容易用而难以忘记,作成法度理论。分别不同的章节,按表和里分类,按从头到尾来作。让它各自有显见。先确立针灸的书。(我)愿意听听其中的详细情况。
Translation:
Huang Di asks Qi Bo: Since I treat my ten thousands people as my children, supported by the hundreds named families and tax them; I am sorry to see that they are not rich and suffered from diseases. I want to help them not being treated by the toxin herbs, and not bruised by the stone scraping, What I want is using the fine and thin needle to open their meridians, regulate their qi and blood, nourish their meridians and points.I want these methods can be learned by the later generations. It is important to make the rules clearly. So that it can last for ever and not being extinguished. I want make it easy to be used and hard to be forgotten. So we have to make the rules, and put them under difference chapters, differentiate from the internal to external, do it from the beginning to the end. Make them having their showing. I want to make the book for acupuncture first.I would like to hear about it.
岐伯答曰:臣请推而次之,令有纲纪,始于一,终于九焉。请言其道!小针之要,易陈而难入。粗守形,上守神。神乎神,客在门。未赭其疾,恶知其原?刺之微在速迟。粗守关,上守机,机之动,不离其空。空中之机,清静而微。其来不可逢,其往不可追。知机之道者,不可挂以 发。不知机道,扣之不发。知其往来,要与之期。粗之闇乎,妙哉,工独有之。往者为逆,来者为顺,明知逆顺,正行无问。迎而夺之,恶得无虚?追而济之,恶得 无实?迎之随之,以意和之,针道毕矣。
翻译:歧伯回答说:请让我按顺序来排,让它有条理,从一开始,到九结束。请让我来讲它的道理。小针的关键,容易把玩可是难以深入。一般的技术是保守身体的形体,高级的技术是保守的是神。神的奇妙之处,是(正气和邪气一起)呆在门脸的地方。所以不看人病的部位,怎么知道病的原因呢?针刺的精妙之处在于快慢之间。一般的技术保守的是四肢两肘两膝之处,高明的技术保守的是变化的规律和原由,变化的运行,不会离开那些空窍。空窍里的变化,清楚安静而细微。它来的时候不可以去迎和,它走的时候 不可以去追赶。了解变化规律和原由的道理的时候,不可以悬挂起来再发射,(恐怕失去时机)不了解变化的道理,拉住了不要发射。知道气来去的方向和虚实,重要的是和它的时间要配合。水平低的不懂,这样的奇妙只有水平高的人才有的。去的是逆,要迎着,来的是顺,要沿着同一方向。清楚知道逆和顺,就照着不用有疑问。如果迎着气去的方向用泻法,怎么能不虚呢?追着气来的方向用补的方法,怎么能不实呢?按经脉气行的方向或用迎或用随,用医者的意念来调和它,这就是全部针灸的道理啊。
Translation:
Qi Bo answered: Please let me show them in sequence, make them have the outline, start from one, end at nine. Please let me explain the detail of it. The key of the small needles, which is easy to show but hard to enter the deep. The low-level skill is to focus on the gates of the body. The high level skill is to focus on the Shen(the vital qi). The wonderful Shen(the vital qi), meets the evil qi at the gates places in the body. So if you have not see where the disease is, how can you know the reason? The detail about the needling is how fast or slow when insert the needles. The low level skill is to focus at the gate (elbows and knees), the higher level skill is focus on the changing ways and root cause. Those changing can not happen without the involvement of those hollow points.The changing way of these points are clear, quiet and mild. Don’t face to it when it comes. Don’t follow it when it goes. Once the changing way is clear,don’t hang the needle, just let it go. If the changing way is not clear, then hold the needle and don’t let it go. Knowing it comes and goes, it is important that meet with it. Lower level skill can not sense it. The wonder is only belong to the high level skill. The up-going is Ni(wrong way), the up-coming is Shun(right way). Clear the wrong way and right way,follow the rules doing the needling without any questions. Face up and grab the qi, how come it is not weak? Follow up and replenish the qi, how come it is not strong? Face upon it and follow up it, harmonized with the mind. That is all about the needling.
